Club Night - change of venue

Club social sub-committee hard at work

For the months of July and August the venue for our Wednesday Club Night has changed.

Instead of our usual location at the Scout Hut in Derriards Lane we are moving to The Wellesley Arms in Sutton Benger.

We have been using 'The Welly' for several meetings over the last few months and have been made most welcome. Also, Club Night at the Scout Hut tends to have a low attendance in the Summer months.

This also means that club night attendees can if they wish watch our Wednesday evening club time trial participants. More importantly TT riders can have a few drinks to suppress the suffering resulting from upcoming 10, 25 and 50 mile TT's scheduled over July and August.

If you are unfamiliar with this venue here are a few details that I have stolen from their website: -

The Wellesley Arms, a beautiful pub recently restored to it’s former glory and set in magnificent countryside, this is one place not to be missed!
Good honest homemade food is available along with a wide selection of real ales and wines.
Families are most welcome, the pub boasts an ample play area and the large paddock beyond the garden plays host to many outside events in the Summertime.
‘The Welly’ is also a popular place for walkers due to the picturesque surroundings and well behaved dogs are always welcome into the bar area.
